Have you ever been in love?
Not the fairytale, rom-com kind of love that the movies show. True love.
Love that gives unconditionally and doesn’t lead to heartbreak.
God’s love.
Below are a few ways for you to tell the true meaning of love.
- Love is Sacrificial
John 15:13 – Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. - Love is Peace
John 14:27 – Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. - Love is Safety
Psalm 4:8 – In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety. - Love is Care
1 Peter 5:7 – Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. - Love is Supply
Philippians 4:19 – And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. - Love is Compassion
Isaiah 54:10 – Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you. - Love is Strength
2 Corinthians 12:9 – But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
8. God is Love
1 John 4:7-8 – Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
